Being 18 and living in New York i could say was a journey for me . Years go by rent rises rapidly, you would think a studio would cost less then two thousand dollars . If you find that here in the city you are pretty lucky but if it's off of craigslist my advice is to see were you really putting your money in. The people here makes New York City sound like the worst place ever. Even though we have a new mayor i haven't seen this place become any better then what it is . I guess because I am a New Yorker i view the city to be horrible. It's the people that ruin it , the image of New York . Down to the streets if it doesn't have garbage then it has poop and spit on it. People clean when people complain. They can't complain if they are causing the problem. Homeless people in New York i view them to be very lazy , your in the United States we are all given two path to succeed or to fail and it's all up to you . It's hard to say we are give equal opportunity because we don't. The increase of violence in New York seems like they are increasing . The exposure to nudity at time square (which is supposed to be like Disney world) is a big eye opener . What you see around New York (not trying to be racist) if you live in the "projects"/"ghetto" you notice how those neighborhood is turning . The "MONEY " is moving in ,( buy money i mean white people ). Some people may complain because they are being kicked out .Ill be honest living in a neighborhood with blacks or Spanish even Asian your most likely to see or hear about some one being rape , rob or insulted. I know by my experience . If you live in a all white neighborhood you may experience racism but i net you anything you would have cops rooming around that block. New York is a very interesting place .
